Rosemary is a very accessible herb for anyone to include in their diet.
Well known for its circulatory properties and for enhancing memory. The active component, Rosmarinic acid has even been shown to improve asthma. It’s also a very powerful antioxidant and inhibits inflammation.
When there was no refrigeration or other long term preserving methods, this herb was added to food as an antiseptic/Antibacterial herb to prevent gastrointestinal upset.
Also known as Rosmarinus officinalis, it is rich vitamin A which supports eye health and prevents cataracts and macular degeneration.
The Ancient Greeks knew of Rosemary’s cognitive enhancing properties and they used to make combs out of the woody stems of this resilient plant.
